Du Sol Wines (Pty) Ltd (“Du Sol”, “we”) is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information we collect

• Identity and contact details — your name, email address, phone number and delivery address — provided when you place an order or sign up for our newsletter.
• Order and payment information — what you ordered, when, and the last four digits of the card used (we never see or store the full card number).
• Technical information — IP address, browser type, device and pages visited, collected via cookies and analytics tools.
• Marketing preferences — whether you have opted in to receive newsletters and promotional emails.

2. How we use your information

We use your personal information to process and deliver your orders, provide customer support, comply with our legal obligations (including liquor and tax law), improve our Site and, where you have consented, send you marketing communications.

We share your information only with trusted partners who help us operate: our payment processors (PayFast, Peach Payments), our courier (Aspiring Logistics), our email service provider, and our accountants. All are bound by confidentiality and POPIA-compliant data processing agreements.

6. Data retention

We retain order records for the period required by South African tax and liquor law (currently 5 years from the date of the order). Newsletter subscriber details are retained until you unsubscribe.
